The Selection of the Frequency Converter

The selection of a frequency converter is a crucial aspect in any mechanical treatment process. In selecting a suitable frequency converter, we must consider the specific requirements of the system, taking into account the characteristics of the equipment and the desired output. As an example, the Dongyuan Speecon-7200MA series of frequency converters has been used in a 18.5 kW / 15 kW inverter, which offered a frequency control range of 0.5 to 400 Hz and a speed control accuracy of 0.1%. This frequency converter also featured an automatic torque adjustment function and PWM flexible control, ensuring noise-free operation and a lower speed control of more than 10 steps.

System Start and Speed Regulation

In the main wheel engineer starting circuit of the external cylindrical crusher, the Star-Triangle Conversion Starter Circuit is commonly used. By replacing the original circuit with a frequency converter and controlling the inverter with a normally open contact of the original contactor, the starting torque of the grinding wheel engine can be adjusted between 50% and 80%. The system speed is adjusted by an external adjustable potentiometer, allowing for adaptive speed control depending on the different diameters of parts.

The Analysis of Load Characteristics

From the analysis of load characteristics, we can observe that the high-speed section has a high constant torque property, the low-speed section has a constant torque property, and the load requires a large low-speed torque and strong overload capacity. Therefore, a variable frequency conversion of constant voltage is used to regulate the speed to ensure that the motor operates within a specified range. This approach allows for a more efficient and energy-saving operation.

Design Considerations

When designing a system using frequency conversion speed regulation technology, several factors must be considered. For example, the accuracy of the balance of the grinding wheels must be improved, and the thermal dissipation conditions at low speed must be ensured. Additionally, the adjustment of inverter parameters is crucial to lock the functions such as frequency, maximum frequency, and dropout.

Loading Treatment of Cylindrical Shredders

In the treatment of cylindrical shredders, the grinding force depends on the output torque of the grinding wheel engine. The output speed of the grinding wheel remains unchanged, with the diameter of the part being low and the grinding supply being lower. Furthermore, the grinding speed may change during the treatment process, resulting in defects such as knife marks or burnt marks. Speed regulation without steps and constant torque of the variable frequency speed control engine can compensate for these defects.
