Optimizing the Assembly of Ball Screw Pairs for Large CNC Machines: A New Approach

This method eliminates the gap between the chuck and positioning sleeve, reducing radial bias load and improving the installation accuracy of the ball screw pair.
The new approach also involves controlling the axial force of the ball screw pair during installation to ensure that the bearings at both ends are precisely aligned. Pre-stretching the ball screw shaft is also crucial to improving the rigidity and precision of the ball screw system. By stretching the screw shaft in a negative direction, the axis of the positioning table can be brought closer to the horizontal, further reducing radial bias loads.
In our production practice, we have found that the new method significantly reduces the risk of errors and improves the overall efficiency and reliability of the ball screw pair installation process.
