To cater to the needs of R5 machine tools, our organization was tasked with designing and installing a CNC machining system that would provide simple installation, practical maintenance, rapid dynamic response speed, high machining precision, and powerful high-speed milling capabilities. After careful consideration, we decided to integrate the CNC Bosch Rexroth MTX Micro Compact system, a cutting-edge solution that would meet the equipment’s exacting requirements.

Controlling the Tool: A Triple-Axis Solution

At the heart of the system lies a triple-axis linear motor, comprising X, Y, and Z axes, as well as a spindle without an accessory grinding head. This configuration allows for seamless movement and precision in all three axis planes, making it an ideal solution for complex machining tasks. Furthermore, the system’s ability to perform link interpolation and the absence of a fixing grinding head eliminate the need for additional equipment, resulting in reduced maintenance and increased efficiency.

Electric System Support: The Indradrive HCQ021 Solution

To support the mechanical principles outlined above, we selected the Indradrive HCQ021 system, which corresponding to the following engines. The X-axis power supply engine is a Rexroth 3.5 Nm QSK061 engine, while the Y-axis power engine is a Rexroth 3.5 Nm QS K075 engine. The spindle engine is composed of a DEGE 23.6NM GM7101-4-4 motor.

PLC Functionality: Streamlining Operations

The HCQ021 driver comes equipped with PLC functionality, enabling the seamless integration of NC and PLC logical operations and data exchange. This feature enables a high-speed 32-channel input and 16-channel output, further streamlining system operation and reducing complexity.

NC Programming: Standardized and Customizable

The CNC Bosch Rexroth Micro Compact system is supplied with a comprehensive range of practical sub-programs for NC fixed cycles, including central hole drilling, drilling, boring, and tapping. Additionally, the system’s pre-reading function allows for the storage of up to 999 instructions, and its TCP/IP Ethernet interface enables high-speed DNC data transmission.

Tool Magazine Management: Flexibility and Customization

The CNC MTX Micro Compact system of Rexroth features 24 tool data and can be easily scaled up or down depending on customer requirements. The system’s tool management function provides various configuration options, including geometric compensation, tool wear, and radius compensation, ensuring optimal performance in a range of machining applications.
