Routine maintenance of double spindlesmachining centerWhen using the machine, you should pay attention to the following key points to ensure the normal operation of the machine tool and prolong its service life:

1. Safety Precautions

It is prohibited to service the machine tool after starting the machine: It is prohibited to carry out any form of service or maintenance work while the machine tool is running to avoid accidents.

Disconnect circuit breaker before servicing: Before performing any maintenance or inspection work, ensure that the machine tool’s circuit breaker is disconnected to prevent the electrical system from being energized and causing a risk of electric shock.

2. Maintaining processing accuracy

Start-up preheating: After each start-up, you need to preheat for about 10 minutes for the machine tool to reach the best operating condition. Machine tools that have not been used for a long time should extend the preheating time appropriately.

Check the correct operation of the oil circuit: Check the oil circuit system of the machine tool regularly to ensure that the oil circuit is unblocked and avoid affecting the normal operation of the machine tool due to of a blockage in the oil circuit.

Return before stopping: Before stopping the machine tool, the work table, saddle and other components should be moved to the center of the machine tool (i.e. the middle position of the stroke of each axis) to avoid deformation due to unequal force when the machine tool is stopped.

3. Daily maintenance

Lubrication system inspection:

Check the lubricating oil level to ensure that each lubrication point on the machine tool is fully lubricated. It is recommended to use T68# guide rail lubricant.

Check and replace the lubricating oil regularly to keep the lubrication system clean and lubricating.

Cooling system inspection:

Check if there is enough coolant in the coolant reservoir. If it is insufficient, add it in time. The coolant should be kept clean and replaced regularly.

Check whether the coolant circulation system is smooth to avoid affecting the cutting effect and service life of the machine tool due to coolant blockage.

Pneumatic system inspection:

Check the oil level of the pneumatic triplex to ensure that the pneumatic system is fully lubricated. The oil level should be maintained at approximately 2/3 of the height of the oil pipe.

Drain the water vapor into the triple pneumatic oil filter tank via the drain switch daily to prevent moisture from entering the pneumatic system and affecting performance.

Air pressure control:

Check whether the air pressure meets the requirements of the machine tool. It is generally set to 5~7KG/CM². The pressure switch is usually set to 5KG/CM², and the machine will alarm when it is lower than this value.

Check and adjust the air pressure regularly to ensure that the machine tool operates under stable air pressure.

Spindle Inner Taper Hole Inspection:

Check whether the air blowing to the inner cone hole of the spindle is normal, wipe the inner cone hole of the spindle with a clean cotton cloth, and spray with light oil to prevent rust and wear.

Inspection of tools and tool magazine:

Clean the tool magazine arm and tools, especially the claws, to avoid cutting residue that may affect tool performance and accuracy.

Check whether the tool pull bolt is loose and whether the tool handle is clean to ensure that the tool is stable and reliable during the cutting process.

Cleaning of machine tools:

Clean the cutting and oil stains on the workbench, inside the machine tool and on the three-axis telescopic guard, and keep the machine tool clean and dry.

Check and clean the protective cover and guard plate of the machine tool regularly to avoid damage to the machine tool caused by cutting residue.

Checking signals and warning lights:

Check whether all abnormal signal lights and warning lights are working properly to ensure that an alarm can be issued in time when a machine tool malfunctions or an abnormal situation occurs.

Inspection of hydraulic unit tubes:

Check the tightness of the hydraulic unit tube. If it leaks, replace or repair it in time to avoid hydraulic system failure.

4. Other matters requiring attention

Grounding Protection: Ensure that the grounding protection system of the machine tool has intact continuity to prevent electrical system leakage from causing harm to people and equipment.

Vitality Parts Inspection: Regularly inspect and maintain vitality parts such as circuit breakers, contactors, single-phase or three-phase arc extinguishers to ensure their normal operation. Abnormalities such as loose wiring and excessive noise should be addressed promptly.

Cooling Fan Inspection: Make sure the electrical cabinet cooling fan is operating normally to avoid damage to vital parts or performance degradation due to poor heat dissipation.

Battery replacement: When the servo motor battery voltage is too low (such as 9F warning), the battery of the same model should be replaced in time and the power supply of the inverter should be kept connected. Before replacing the battery, turn off the power to the drive unit and complete the replacement within the specified time.

In summary, the daily maintenance of a double spindle machining center requires careful consideration of safety, processing accuracy, daily maintenance and regular maintenance. Through careful maintenance and upkeep, the normal operation and service life of the machine tool can be ensured, and stable and reliable processing support can be provided for production.
