It uses a strong magnetic field generated by permanent magnet materials to adsorb powdery, granular and iron filings within a certain length range (generally ≤150mm in length) generated during the metal cutting process on the magnetic plate of chip conveyor work. Subsequently, these adsorbed chips will be transported to a designated chip removal location or chip collection box. This process is not only suitable for dry machining, but also for wet machining, that is, the iron chips contained in the cutting fluid or oil can also be effectively separated.
The maintenance methods of step-by-step chip conveyor mainly include the following aspects:
1. Daily maintenance
1. External cleaning
Regularly use a soft cloth or spray gun to clean dust and debris on the surface of the chip conveyor housing to prevent debris from entering the equipment and affecting its operation.
Check the appearance of the chip conveyor for damage. If the coating is peeled or rusted, repair it in time to avoid further damage.
2. Cleaning magnetic materials
Frequently clean the material adsorbed on the surface of the magnetic material. You can wipe it gently with a special detergent or a damp cloth, but be careful not to damage the surface coating of the magnetic material.
If there are a lot of metal objects adsorbed, you can use wooden or plastic sticks to facilitate cleaning. Avoid using sharp objects to avoid scratching the magnetic material.
3. Check the components
Check whether the chain, scraper, conveyor belt and other components of the chip conveyor are operating normally and whether they are loose or worn. If any play is found, tighten it in time; if there is wear, replacement should be considered.
Observe whether there are any abnormal noises or vibrations in the motor, reducer and other components of the chip conveyor. If there are any abnormalities, stop the machine for inspection in time.
2. Regular maintenance
1. Lubrication and maintenance
Lubricate and maintain chip conveyor transmission parts, such as chains, bearings, etc. Add lubricating oil or grease regularly to ensure normal operation and extend component life.
During the lubrication process, be sure to select an appropriate lubricating oil or grease and work in accordance with the equipment instruction manual.
2. Magnetic field intensity detection
Check the magnetic field intensity of magnetic materials regularly to ensure their adsorption effect. If the magnetic field intensity decreases too much, you may consider replacing the magnetic material or adjusting the current size.
When detecting the magnetic field intensity, you can use professional magnetic field detection equipment or initially judge the changes in the magnetic field intensity by observing the adsorbed material.
3. Clean out internal debris
Regularly open the inside of the chip conveyor and clean out debris and sediment inside. You can use a gun to blow it out or wipe it with a cloth to make sure the inside is clean.
When cleaning internal debris, pay attention to safety and avoid hand injuries. At the same time clean corners and hard-to-observe parts of the chip conveyor.
4. Check the electrical system
Regularly check whether the electrical system of the chip conveyor, including power cords, control lines, motors and other components, is normal. If you find that the wires are aging or damaged or the motor runs abnormally, they should be repaired or replaced in time.
Check if the electrical connection is firm. If it is loose, tighten it in time. At the same time, be sure to check the insulation of the electrical system to ensure safety.
3. Special maintenance
1. Seasonal maintenance
When the seasons change, the chip conveyor must be maintained accordingly. For example, during wet seasons, moisture protection measures for electrical systems should be strengthened; during high temperature seasons, attention should be paid to the heat dissipation of magnetic materials, etc.
According to the characteristics of different seasons, adjust the operating parameters and maintenance frequency of the chip conveyor to ensure the normal operation of the equipment.
2. Long-term shutdown and maintenance
If the chip conveyor must be stopped for a long time, the equipment must be fully maintained. This includes cleaning debris from the interior and exterior of the equipment, applying rust-inhibiting oil, disconnecting electrical power, etc.
During shutdown, regularly check the equipment storage environment to ensure that it is dry and ventilated to avoid moisture or any damage to the equipment.
