1. Structure of vertical grinder

A vertical grinder is mainly composed of machine bed, workbench, grinding head, cooling system, lubrication system, etc.

The bed is the base of the entire grinder. It is made of high quality cast iron and has reinforced ribs inside to improve the rigidity and stability of the bed.

The workbench is used to fix the workpiece, and the grinding bar can move up and down to adapt to workpieces of different heights.

The vertical grinder can grind inner circle, outer circle, end face, cone surface, groove, inner hole bottom surface, etc.

The grinding head is the main component of the grinder. It consists of spindle, bearing seat, motor, etc. It can rotate and move forward to carry out the grinding process.

The cooling system consists of a coolant tank and a pump, which are used to cool the grinding head and workpiece to improve machining precision. The lubrication system consists of a lubricating oil tank and a pump, which is used to lubricate various moving parts and extend the service life of the equipment.

2. Working principle of vertical grinder

The working principle of a vertical grinder is mainly to grind the workpiece through a grinding head. More precisely, a grinding wheel is installed on the spindle of the grinding head. The surface of the grinding wheel is made of ultra-hard materials such as diamond, which can achieve high-speed rotation. The workpiece is fixed on the workbench and comes into contact with the grinding wheel by moving the workbench up and down. During the grinding process, coolant is continuously sprayed onto the grinding head and the workpiece to remove the grinding heat and prevent the workpiece from overheating and deforming. At the same time, lubricating oil continuously lubricates moving parts and extends the life of the equipment.

3. How to operate the vertical grinder

Preparation

Before using the vertical grinder, the following preparations are necessary:

(1) Check whether all parts of the grinder are intact and loose;

(2) Check whether the power supply, hydraulic pressure, cooling, lubrication and other systems are normal;

(3) Prepare the room and tools and determine the treatment plan.

Operation steps

(1) Fix the workpiece on the workbench and adjust the height of the workbench to the appropriate position;

(2) According to the treatment plan, adjust the feed quantity and speed of the grinding head;

(3) Start the grinder and carry out the grinding process;

(4) Continuously adjust the position and feed quantity of the grinding head according to processing needs;

(5) After processing is completed, close the grinder, remove the part and clean the site.

Things to note

When using a vertical grinder, you should pay attention to the following points:

(1) Keep all parts of the grinder clean to prevent debris and dust from entering;

(2) During operation, the speed and feed of the grinding head should not be adjusted at will;

(3) During treatment, the treatment situation should be observed at all times, and problems should be handled in a timely manner;

(4) After the operation is completed, the site should be cleaned up in time and kept tidy.

4. Maintenance of the vertical grinder

In order to extend the life of the vertical grinder and improve the processing precision, routine maintenance is necessary. Specifically include:

Regularly check whether the connecting bolts of different parts of the grinder are loose, and tighten them in time if they are loose;

Regularly check the operation of hydraulic, cooling, lubrication and other systems to keep the system clean and smooth;

Regularly clean the grinding wheel and the cooling system filters to avoid clogging and wear;

Check electrical components regularly for aging and damage and replace them promptly if damaged;
