Common Problems

When rapid demand turns into a bottleneck

These are the four failure patterns we hear most from engineering teams running on tight schedules.

01

The quote takes longer than the part

You send drawings Monday and hear nothing until Friday. A week of silence burns the buffer you built into the schedule. By the time pricing arrives, the assembly line has already slipped and the customer meeting is tomorrow.

02

First articles fail dimensional check

The prototype looks right on the bench, then CMM reports 0.05 mm drift on a bearing bore. Rework costs another week, and the design review gets pushed. Undocumented setup changes make the next batch even less predictable.

03

A supplier vanishes at 500 pieces

The shop that handled 5 prototypes will not quote 500. Or they quote tooling you do not need. Either way, you restart the sourcing cycle, requalify a new vendor, and lose the schedule advantage you had.

04

Finish and marking arrive wrong

Parts come back with the wrong anodize color, laser marks under 1.5 mm height, or a brushed face where you specified bead blast. Cosmetic rejects delay final assembly and force a second finishing run.

How We Solve It

One shop from first article to production volume

Rapid demand is a scheduling problem before it is a machining problem. Here is how we keep the two from colliding.

Quotes and DFM feedback inside 12 hours

Upload a STEP or IGS file and a drawing with critical dimensions. Our engineers review geometry, tolerance stack, tool reach, and material availability before pricing. You get a quote and a DFM note within 12 hours.

If a wall is too thin for the chosen alloy, or a deep pocket needs a different tool path, we say so in that same reply. Fixing it before the first cut is cheaper than fixing it after inspection.

127 machines, so your job does not queue behind someone else's

We run 16 simultaneous 5-axis machining centers, 12 four-axis mills, 27 three-axis machines, and 16 mill-turn centers across 7,600 m² of floor space. A rush order can be routed to a machine that is free today, not next month.

Maximum processing size reaches 4,000 mm. Tight work holds ±0.005 mm. Surface finish lands between Ra 0.2 μm and Ra 3.2 μm depending on the callout. Production can start within 24 hours of a confirmed PO.

Capabilities

What we run for rapid on-demand work

One purchase order can cover machining, finishing, and inspection.

01

5-Axis CNC Machining

16 simultaneous centers for contoured surfaces, angled holes, and parts that would need three fixtures on a 3-axis machine.

02

4-Axis and 3-Axis Milling

12 four-axis mills and 27 three-axis machines for prismatic parts, plates, and housings where a rotary index is enough.

03

CNC Turning and Mill-Turn

16 mill-turn centers handle shafts, fittings, and bushings with turning and cross-drilling in one program.

04

Rapid Prototyping

First articles in days, not weeks. We machine the same geometry you will produce later, so tolerance data carries over.

05

Surface Finishing

Anodizing, plating, powder coat, black oxide, bead blast, brushing, polishing, and laser marking at 1.5 mm minimum character height.

06

Inspection and Reporting

100% inspection before shipment, with raw material check, in-process monitoring, and final CMM reports on request.

Numbers that decide a rush job

Rapid demand rewards shops with spare capacity and fixed process control. These are ours.

12 h

Quote and DFM

Engineers review geometry and tolerance before pricing, so the number you get is the number you pay.

24 h

Production start

Confirmed PO and released drawing move to a scheduled machine the next working day.

3–5 d

Shipping window

Standard machined parts leave the floor in three to five days. Historical late-delivery probability stays below 2%.

±0.005

Tolerance

Held on critical features with in-process monitoring, not only a final check.

1 pc

Minimum order

One prototype or a 10,000+ part run uses the same process sheet and inspection plan.

4

Certifications

ISO 9001:2015, IATF 16949:2016, ISO 13485:2016, and ISO 27001:2022 cover quality, automotive, medical, and data handling.

FAQs

Questions engineers ask before sending a file

How fast can you actually start cutting?

Production can start within 24 hours of a confirmed PO and a released drawing. That assumes material is in stock, which covers the aluminum, stainless, and common steel grades listed above.

Exotic alloys such as Inconel or beryllium copper may need a day or two for material to arrive. We tell you at quote time if that applies.

What files do you need for a quote?

A STEP or IGS model plus a 2D drawing with critical dimensions, tolerances, and finish callouts. The 3D file defines geometry; the drawing defines what we inspect against.

If you only have a sketch with dimensions, send it. We can build the CAD model and flag anything ambiguous before machining.

Can you hold ±0.005 mm on a rush job?

Yes, on features that are accessible and stable in the chosen material. Very thin walls, deep small-diameter holes, and unsupported edges are harder, and we will say so during DFM review.

In-process monitoring matters more than a final pass. We measure while the part is still on the machine when the tolerance is that tight.

Is there a minimum order quantity?

There is none. A single prototype and a 10,000+ part run go through the same process sheet, the same inspection plan, and the same quality records.

Unit price drops with volume because setup is amortized, but the process does not change just because the quantity is small.

Which materials do you keep in stock?

Aluminum 6061, 6061-T6, 2024, 5052, 6063, 6082, and 7075; stainless 303, 304, 316, 316L, and 17-4PH; steel 1018, 1045, 4130, 4140, and A36; plus brass C36000, copper C110, and engineering plastics.

Titanium TA1, TA2, and TC4 (Ti-6Al-4V) are available but usually need a material order lead time.

How do you handle confidentiality?

Uploads are secure and confidential. We can sign an NDA before you send any file, and we hold ISO 27001:2022 for information security management.

If your program requires it, we can restrict access to a named engineering group and remove files after the run closes.

What happens if parts fail inspection?

Every shipment gets 100% inspection, covering raw material check, in-process monitoring, and final inspection. Reports are available on request.

If a dimension falls out of tolerance, we rework or remachine and cover the cost. We do not ship parts with a known deviation and hope the assembly absorbs it.

Can you do finishing and assembly in the same order?

Yes. Anodizing, plating, powder coating, black oxide, bead blasting, polishing, and laser marking are all handled under one PO, so you do not coordinate a second vendor.

Laser marking has a minimum character height of 1.5 mm. Smaller text needs a different marking method, and we will suggest one during quoting.

Send the drawing. Get a quote in 12 hours.

Upload a STEP or IGS file with your critical dimensions. An engineer reviews it, flags anything that will not machine cleanly, and returns a price with DFM notes.
