GreatLight Metal provides advanced aluminum and steel hot forging services, supplying OEM customers across the United States, Mexico, and Canada with high-quality, precision-forged components. Our capabilities include impression die forging, closed die forging, as well as net and near-net shape hot forging for a wide range of part sizes and complexities.
We are equipped to deliver high-volume drop forged parts up to 80 lbs, supporting demanding applications in automotive, industrial, and heavy equipment sectors. Our forged product expertise covers knuckles, yokes, tie rods, hubs, ball joints, rockers, pilots, control arms, spindles, forged shafts, and gear sets.

State-of-the-Art Hot Forging Equipment

  • Hydraulic Hammers: 500T to 2,500T press capacity for diverse part requirements
  • Heat Treatment: Batch quench & temper furnaces, continuous normalizing furnaces, rolling isothermal normalizing, and middle frequency induction heating for optimal material properties
  • Machining Integration: Each forging line features CNC machining stations for tight-tolerance, production-ready parts

Flash and Flashless Forging Options

We offer both flash and flashless hot forging to best suit your component’s geometry and performance needs. Flash forging is ideal for complex shapes and variable cross-sections, while flashless forging is used for simpler, rounded, or 2D parts to minimize excess material.
