This precision machined, shaft casting is manufactured for a specialized motor OEM. This 316 SS product features several tight tolerance zones at +/-0.001 and requires precision knurling that operates as a secondary brake pad.

Each of these shaft castings have a strict porosity requirement to follow. If out-of-spec, this part could cause a catastrophic failure in the assembly.

There are eight through holes, with two different diameters, which require precision drilling. Each hole has a slight chamfer which is critical for the final motor assembly.
